Ashlee Simpson-Wentz changed up her fashion choice — from maxi dresses to a striped top — while meeting friends for lunch in West Hollywood on Monday. The 23-year-old singer and her husband Pete Wentz expect their first child this fall.

The twin rumors have already been dispelled. If she’s due in the fall then she must be …5, maybe even 6 months along by now. So it shouldn’t be that surprising that she’s really started showing at this point. I’m glad she took a break from the maxi dresses, though. They’re cute and all but you know what they say, too much of a good thing…

Well she is really large, and she kept… avoiding baby rumors in the first place. And when Pete slipped “them” he may not have meant to give that away too early, as the same idea they had when they wanted to get past 1st trimester before confirming that they were pregnant. It could’ve been an accident, or she really isn’t having twins.

Who knows? She’s due in the fall as well, so maybe the reason we’re not certain she’s having twins is because she didn’t announce she was pregnant right away thus feeling a shorter term of her being pregnant. Guess we’ll have to see.

I do really wish she wouldn’t wear dresses down to the ground though, she has a beautiful figure all-around. She needs to show it!

I just want to point out that Ashlee’s “bump size” doesn’t neccesarily mean she’s having twins. I know it usually takes awhile for women to show during their first pregnancy, but there arer always exceptions.

For example, I once knew a woman who started showing quite early with her first child. Not only that, but, by the end of her pregnancy, she was HUGE (think Naomi Watts or Isla Fischer!)! In fact, she got big so fast and was so big that even her doctor thought she was having twins! S/he (I’m not sure if the doctor was a man or a woman) checked her multiple times for twins….But it was just one baby. One very big baby! I’m sure she was sick and tired of the “are you sure you aren’t having twins?” comments by the time she delivered!

I’m due early november and shes due late october and im showing just as much as she is. It has nothing to do with twins. Its the fact that shes about 6 months pregnant and she was so small before the pregnancy so shes all baby.
