Twiggy helps daughter make modeling debut

It’s in the genes! Growing up as the daughter of legendary model Twiggy, 58, left such an impression on Carly Lawson that she turned a blind eye to the fashion industry entirely, and instead pursued animation at Edinburgh University.  But the 29-year-old has since had a change of heart.  She works as a print designer for Stella McCartney and is poised to make her modeling debut — alongside her mom — wearing clothes Twiggy designed herself for a home shopping company.  "Carly and I have always wanted to work together so it will be fun," Twiggy says.

Carly is Twiggy’s daughter with husband Michael Witney, who died in 1983.

I’m wondering why this is being released as new news….I have the catalogues that Twiggy designs for and Carly has been modelling with her for two or three years now. She’s a beautiful girl, this just isn’t new lol.

And also, having just looked at the photo in the Daily Mail article, I have it in an existing catalogue, so it’s not actually from a new collection!

why would carly’s last name be lawson, if her father is michael whitney?
because twiggy’s current husband is leigh/lee (don’t know how you spell his name:P) lawson.
did she take his last name or something?

Phillipa it says in the article her stepfather legally adopted her and she took his name. :)
