Ashlee Simpson-Wentz rocks another maxi dress

Making the most of the trend, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz stepped out in another maxi dress and headband on Wednesday afternoon in Hollywood. The 23-year-old singer and husband Pete Wentz expect their first child this fall.

she looks really good. I heard somewhere that she is due at the end of october, meaning she is 5 and a half months pregnant. Does anyone know if she knows the sex of the baby, or if shes gonna have a delivery suprise?

Lisa, the rumor is that they found out that the baby is a boy and have set up a very BLUE gift registry at a certain well known celebrity baby boutique. However, said boutique is famous for “leaking” information to the press when it is often incorrect, the very same store was sued by Tom Cruise for making false statements about his purchases there and also reported that Christina had a all PINK registry there, so who knows? Pete has said openly that they do not want a delivery surprize, so they probably DO know by now – whether and when they chose to share is up to them I guess!

So…in LA, does every entertainer/celebrity immediately turn into a hippy upon impregnation? I only ask because it seems like nowadays the best way to confirm a pregnancy rumor is to see whether or not the celeb in question has recently begun wearing long, flowy maxi dresses every day. I’m sure comfort is part of the reason, but whatever happened to showing a little leg every now and then? Also, I hate that string-around-the-forehead trend that’s trying to come back. It looks like a shoelace.

Erica, you took the words out of my mouth! I hate the maxi dresses. Both her and Gwen Stefani have such cool styles usually. I know I’m in the minor opinion, there’s tons of articles about their pregnancy “style”, how cool it is….But, personally, I’m like, “It’s a Maxi dress.” I don’t see what’s so stylish about that. Every day: Same dress, different print. And the headband thing, it’s gotta go!
Ok, off that rant, Ashlee’s face is glowing so much everyday. She’s obviously very happy and good for her. (but still hate the “style”)

I LOVE maxi dresses!!! I think they are so cool and comfy and great for summer. Its also a really easy way to have a pulled-together look.

I like how Ashlee always has a smile. nice to see.

Erica, Thank you for saying what so many of us have been thinking about the string around the head. I can only imagine that when she takes it off, there’s a line around her forehead for a while. As for the long dresses…it’s nice to see that moo-moo’s are back in. Seriously. I can only imagine how much more comfortable I would have been during my 2 pregnancies. And, those dresses transition so nicely after the pregnancies where as the pants with the stretchy stomach panel…not so much!
Anyway, she looks happy and healthy. I wish her and Pete only the best!

Being pregnant in LA like I am now, the best way to look and feel good is the Maxi dress, plus it hides my fat swollen ankles. I am thankful for the Maxi dress and would be totally miserable w/o it.
