Phillies' Clay Condrey welcomes son Cashton Lee

Philadelphia Phillies player Clay Condrey was absent from the team the past few days, but for good reason.  He and his wife Elizabeth welcomed their first child, son Cashton "Cash" Lee Condrey, on Monday, June 30th via cesarean section.  He weighed 6 lbs, 12 oz.

In an interview before the birth, Clay shared that he was nervous for the c-section that would be performed to bring his son into the world, saying, "I’m sure they do these things all the time, just not with my wife." Despite the nervousness, Clay couldn’t wait for his son to arrive and had already planned on the outfit, that he hoped Cash would be able to wear home from he hospital.

We bought him a little camouflage diaper outfit. He’s got camouflage shoes. If he’s big enough, I’m going to take him home in it.

I’m not at all liking the name, but congratulations to the couple!
