Rumer Willis considers herself "one of the luckiest girls"

WilliskutcherDuring a press conference for her upcoming movie The House Bunny, Rumer Glenn Willis called herself "one of the luckiest girls around" when it comes to her superstar parents actors Demi Moore, 45, Bruce Willis, 53, and Ashton Kutcher, 30.  The threesome continues to amaze the world as they work on their committed relationship in order to raise their three daughters, including Rumer and her sisters Scout LaRue, 16, and Tallulah Belle, 14.  Hopeful that her family unit has "set an example" for other divorced families, Rumer is confident she has been shaped into the person she is today because of the effort her parents have put forth.  Says Rumer,

I get to share holidays and (for my parents) to be able to set an example like that, my family’s done something I hope for many other people.

The 19-year-old — who has dabbled in the movie industry before — used to consider herself "an accessory" on sets as she would "just sit in the trailer and hang out," but with the late-summer release of her first comedy, she now recognizes she is at the "beginning of my career."  Rumer is the first to admit that being the daughter of Hollywood stars has put her in the spotlight with "press junkets, but I’ve never been the one behind the table."  And there is no chance of Rumer using her parents’ connections as references as the young star noted she has had a lot of "exposure to media, but in terms of actual work I’ve done, it’s very little."

The House Bunny hits theaters August 22nd.

Ooh, I can’t wait for The House Bunny and I’m excited a little more to hear Rumer is in it! She seems like she’s got her head strapped on straight. Her parents did a tremendous job raising her!

I always consider the Willis-Moore-Kutcher and Pinkett-Smith familes the gold standard as to how divorced/blended families should be–I have nothing but respect and admiration for how they all put their children first.

I really like Ashton Kutcher nad Bruce Willis (good choices, Demi !!!) and I really like how they all worked things out. It shows that it’s possible and all it takes is all parties to be willing to work hard. Kudos to them

I like them too. My family was similar and I also realize how lucky I was – dad/step-dad went golfing together, holidays included everyone at one house – mom/stepdad and dad/stepmom and my bro and I and both sets of parents had two additional brothers and sisters for me – BIg, Fun family. Divorce isn’t always a bad thing :) In my case, just enlarged my family :) In fact, even with all children “grown” we all just took a cruise together – as always, smooth sailing :) (sorry, couldn’t help it)

It sounds like she’s got a good head on her shoulders. And it’s great she gives kudos to her parents- for an ‘in the spotlight’ family they sure did a great job raising their girls! Can’t wait to watch her career grow :)
