Ramona Sarsgaard, 20 months, got the giggles while out with actor parents Maggie Gyllenhaal, 30, and fiancé Peter Sarsgaard, 37, in Venice, CA on Wednesday. Maggie’s next film, The Dark Knight, opens July 18th.

I love how kids hold on to their Daddy’s ears or face when they are getting shoulder rides. My Dad used to do that with us at the beach. We would put our hands over his eyes and he would pretend to rock back and forth like he was going to fall.

Just a curosity thing….Does anyone know if Maggie’s said anything about when she and Peter are getting married? I have nothing at all against couples who either decide not to get married at all or who decide to wait awhile before even getting engaged (such as Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson). I don’t even have anything against engaged couples who wait awhile to get married.
However, it does puzzle me a bit that some couples get engaged and then wait several years to get married (not saying this is neccesarily the case with Peter and Maggie. I’m fairly certain they’ve only been engaged for close to two years. If I’m not mistaken, they became engaged either just before or just after Maggie got pregnant with Ramona).
It seems to me that getting engaged and then waiting several years is especially common in celebrity couples. Could anyone explain to me why this is the case (I have never been married, let alone engaged, before, so I have no clue!)?
