Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's baby break

In her first postpartum outing since welcoming daughter Stella Doreen two weeks ago, Tori Spelling, 35, and husband Dean McDermott met friends for lunch on Saturday, June 21st. After dining alfresco at La Scala in Beverly Hills, CA, the couple returned home to Stella and big brother Liam Aaron, 15 months.

Beautiful Pregnant AND Two weeks after giving birth????? Just NOT fair!! LOL! Keep up the good work Tori, You seem to have it straight!

- Kim on

She looks great! Anyone know where she got her dress? Alison Sweeney (Sami) wore this exact same dress on Days! I would love to know where I could find it :)

- Becca on

Can someon tell me WHY does Dean Insist on keeping his toenails painted? I am SO loving her dress!!!

- Cee on

Um, why are Dean’s toes painted?

- Jen on

are his toenails painted? lol.

- Allyssa on

Its good to see her out and about. With my first child I stayed cooped up in the house for a month because I felt that anything else was neglectful to my baby.

I definitely won’t be following that same logic with my second.

- Becky's Daughter on

I love her flip flop sandals….anyone know who makes them? And yes…his painted toes are kinda gross.

- Anonymous on

Wow you wouldn’t of known she gave birth 2 weeks ago! ! LOL.

She looks fantastic!

- Rayan on

wow, Tori looks great 2 weeks post partum. can’t wait to see a pic of their new little one.

- Mary on

She looks great! I love the dress!!!

- Stephany on

Tori looks awesome for having a baby by c-section 2 weeks ago. I felt so bad, her dog mimi larue who she adored died this week, poor tori. Can’t wait to see stella, and I love Tori’s dress

- brooke on

They both look really good. I had a fungus infection on a couple of my toenails which didn’t look too great. To cover it I used to paint them with a darker red polish. With vigilance (several months) I got rid of it totally with nightly soaks of my feet in vinegar and hot water, and putting Vicks under the nail. Just a thought since people are asking…or maybe he’s just being having fun with it.

- Danica on

Love her dress and sunglasses. I am wondering if a pair of Spanx may be involved in her wardrobe? Dresses that are that shape hide a world of imperfections. I am having my c-section on Thursday and this gives me motivation to not sit around just pouting about a huge mooshy tummy and fluid retention.

- jenny on

I love Dean’s tonenails and Tori’s dress. And I admire her for getting out

- Silvermouse on

Good luck and God’s blessings on your baby, Jenny! And I, too, can’t seem to get my mind around the logic to Dean’s toenail polish? Looks too weird and effeminate on a guy – even though I do like him a lot.

- Sheri on

she looks great! i agree with Becky’s daughter – for my second child, i’ll be less hard on myself

- tracey on

she looks great, as always. I’ve come to really like her style. His toenails, not so much though.

- ellen on

wow! she looks amazing! i had my baby girl 4 months ago and i am nowhere near looking as good as tori 2 weeks postpartum!

- Julie on

tori looks so great & dean’s got a bit of a wolverine thing going on.interesting…i think they’ve been pretty out of it since mimi died, so i hope the family is feeling better about life, esp now with stella =) love their show to death.am watching clips & interviews over n over on oxygen site.makes the week go faster til the next episode!

- ang on

She looks wonderful and I LOVE her dress! I wish we could find out where it come from! I don’t think his toe nails being painted is really all that bad! Just a personal choice I guess!

- stacey on

Tori looks amazing just 2 weeks after giving birth! but she doesn’t just look slim she looks healthy!!

- sharon on

why are his toes painted? I had to do a double-take.

- ERICKA on

Tori is wearing a dress by juicy couture!

- ana on

Is she nursing? My chest would not fit into a strapless dress when I was nursing. Plus you’re not suppose to start pumping until 4 weeks after delivery. Maybe she’s also giving formula. hmm.

- Jenn on

What in the world is on his shirt, the Hindenberg disaster?

- Marilyn on

Is she wearing a pendant on one of those invisible strands around her neck?
I think Tori looked better in her second pregnancy. With Liam, her face had really swollen up and she was into pigtails all the time. :-)
I, too, agree that it’s good to get out postpartum for lunches, walks etc. SANS babies.

- Sadaf on

I am glad that Dean and Tori have two healthy babies but I just don’t understand why everyone admires them so much. They cheated on their spouses and Dean left his wife after they just had a baby of their own. Those actions speak to their characters and to their dedication as parents. Please stop looking up to these folks!!

- Floridian on

Jenn,

I never heard before that you aren’t supposed to pump until 4 weeks after delivery. Why is that?

- Marci on

Regarding Jenn’s comment above, I find that to be so incredibly judgmental! Maybe she’s breastfeeding AND she fits into that dress, I could fit into a strapless with no problems. Maybe she did pump, maybe she didn’t. I pumped since day one with no problems (and nursed for 2 years)I think it’s important for mothers to have the freedom to do what works for them, without having people judge them. And if she’s not breastfeeding, she may have reasons for that.

- La Petite Belle on

Wow, she does look great! Especially for just having surgery. I don’t think spanx would feel too good on a new c section scar, but I have never had a c section so I can’t say for sure. Maybe it feels good to keep it all tucked up, kind of like an ace bandage? And yeah…Dean’s nails…creapy. Love Tori and Dean though, just not those nails.

- Becky on

A complete LOL @ the people who can’t accept a man with painted toes. There is nothing wrong with it. It’s actually, in this day and age, pretty brave considering how judgemental and gender fixated people still are. I like it.

Tori looks amazing as always.

- Hea on

Jenn – she BFed Liam for 5 months and gave him expressed milk for awhile after that, so I would think she’s planning to do about the same for Stella if she can. Plus just from looking at the pic, her boobs are clearly bigger than they have been, so for me all signs point to yes. But really, it doesn’t matter.

- SM on

I just had my 2nd c-section two weeks ago and although this one was alot more painful afterwards, I am now feeling like myself again. My scar looks great and as for wearing spanx…I wouldnt want to wear something that tight on my stomach all day…but I’ve done it for a few hours. Its amazing to see how many people think just because you had surgery you shouldn’t be out and about 2 weeks later! Great to see that she is!

- Amy on

Jenn: I pumped in the hospital to help bring my milk in, as did my friend who had a preemie. There isn’t a hard & fast rule about ‘when’ to start pumping… In fact, it helps to build up your supply if you feed from one side then pump, which you can then freeze. I’ve never heard of there being a rule about not pumping until 4 weeks PP. That’s just odd.

Tori looks GREAT!! Love that dress! And I think Dean’s toenails are cool… I mean, to each their own right?

- Nicole on

Tori looks fabulous. As for Dean’s painted toenails….Seal is the only man I have seen who can rock that look! :) But the real issue is, when do we get to see little Stella?

- chris on

1 – I’m not judging her. This is a blog to discuss stuff among mothers. Relax.
2 – FAQs online and when I bough my Medela pump said:
“If you are interested in having extra milk on hand for special occasions, start pumping once per day when your baby is about 3-4 weeks old. Don’t introduce bottles until baby is at least 4 weeks of age in order to get breastfeeding off to it’s best start.”

- Jenn on

Yea, that is more about not intorducing the bottle for a while, as to not have an issue with nipple confusion, not a rule against pumping per say. My son was preemie and I pumped from day one.

- Heather on

I can only hope I look that good after giving birth to my second this November! Good for her!

As far as Dean’s toe nails…it’s LA….

- Jennifer on

Jenn – That says a lot more about using bottles too soon rather than expressing milk.

- Hea on

Yea, that is more about not introducing the bottle for a while, as to not have an issue with nipple confusion, not a rule against pumping per say. My son was preemie and I pumped from day one.

- Heather on

Tori looks wonderful and I love her spirit. Dean on the other hand looks ridiculous to me with his toenails painted like that. I think that it may be a “celebrity-thing” to want to stand out like that but it is very unbecoming on him. If I am correct, he is in his 40′s and (in my personal opinion)it just doesn’t look cool having all the visible tats and flashy toenails. Maybe it’s not just a celebrity-thing but a mid-life crisis thing. Anywhoo, I know that the blog is not about bashing people, so I am going to stop. Again, Tori looks fabulous!

- jj on

Okay girls painting their toe nails is one thing, but guys do it now too? I’m not liking this…at all.

- Cali on

Who cares about how she feeds her baby or if he paints his toenails. What’s more annoying is that these two are constantly staging photo ops. Look, it’s Tori and Dean… again!

- Beth on

I agree it is about nipple confusion, but it’s also about the amount of milk one makes. The more you pump the more your body produces. The routine in your body is not yet set up in the first month. Obviously with a preemie or other circumstances can make you need to pump to keep milk production.

Again, this is a great forum to discuss breastfeeding. Every body, baby and pregnancy is unique.

- Jenn on

Wow, Tori looks awesome! Congratulations to her and Dean!

I hope Tori is breastfeeding. Whether it be from a bottle and pumping or by actually putting the baby to the breast and whether it be for 2 months or 12 months, any amount of breast milk is beneficial for the baby. I’m not a fan of formula at all and would never give it to my baby. Everyone has a right to choose how to feed their baby, I just hope they are well informed before doing so.
