Minnie Driver "loves the cake" at baby shower

Finger sandwiches and basil lemonade were also served, but Minnie Driver was "all about the cake" — a Sweet Lady Jane berry concoction — at her baby shower, held Saturday in Malibu, CA. The 38-year-old singer/actress celebrated with about 40 friends, hand-painting onesies and gathering advice notes written in a keepsake book. Later, Minnie sat down among the pink-and-white peony decorations to open gifts, many from Gymboree’s Brand New line.

Minnie, who is expecting a delivery surprise — "I don’t want to know the sex, I feel like it’s one of the last great mysteries of life" — will welcome her child in late August.
