No tour for teething Harlow, Joel Madden says

Joelandnicole An early morning trip to the beach with girlfriend Nicole Richie and daughter Harlow Winter Kate, 5-months, followed by seats at the Los Angeles Lakers playoff game was all Joel Madden needed for an "awesome" first Father’s Day.  In an interview today with Ryan Seacrest, Joel said that Nicole and Harlow — who is teething — will not be going on tour with his band Good Charlotte this summer, but will instead "fly in for visits."  The 29-year-old singer also revealed that he and Nicole are in no rush to be married, telling Ryan "we don’t have any plans."  He added,

I don’t think it’s completely necessary to rush plans and just try to get it done.  I think it’s gotta be special, and it’s gotta be the right time.  We have a great relationship.  Everyone else talks about (marriage) more than we do.

Joel’s twin brother Benji Madden, who also took part in the interview, chimed in to tell Ryan that Joel, Nicole and Harlow are "the coolest family I’ve ever seen."

Teething? Already? My nephew is 8 1/2 months old with signs of teeth yet.

Considering how wild her past was, I really like this side of her much better. She seems to really be taking motherhood seriously. Good for her!

I’m sad for Nicole that she won’t be going on tour with Good Charlotte this summer but it is understandable. I’m glad she will be able to meet up with Joel on the road once in a while though. I can’t wait to attend the three concerts I’m planning on!!!

As for them getting married. They are right. Why rush it!!! As long as they are happy, that is all that counts.

I don’t see them getting married anytime soon. Remember they had only been dating for a few months before they got pregnant. They seem to be embracing parenthood and putting that before everything else. Good for them for not being pressured, or at least for not caving in to the pressure, to get married so soon.

I completely sympathize with Nicole over the teething. My daughter Cassia was born Dec 31 and she’s been working on cutting a tooth for two weeks now.

Our pediatrician told us that babies can start teething anytime after four months. Some just start earlier than others.

Teething at 5 months old is not unheard of. My daughter cut her first 2 teeth at 3 1/2 months. I’ve heard it’s hereditary, which makes sense – Apparently I cut my first teeth when I was 4 months old!

My daughter is 8 months old and has been teething since about 4 or 5 months old with still no sign of teeth. Hopefully it won’t take Harlow as long.

My baby cut his first 2 teeth at 3 1/2 months. Now, at 6 months, we’re still waiting on any others to show!
