Alicia Keys not ready for motherhood

Songstress Alicia Keys recently indicated that she’s open to the possibility of adoption, and that she admires the path to motherhood taken by Angelina Jolie.  She told OK! she feels it’s "beautiful the way [Angelina] embraces the children of the world" and that adoption is "important to consider."  While Alicia may not yet know whether she’ll pursue a family biologically or through adoption, one thing is for certain:  It won’t happen anytime soon, for Alicia admitted, "I’m not ready to be a mom."

I love Alicia Keys and think it is wise of her to not enter parenthood until she feels ready to raise a child properly and devote her time fully to bringing up a baby.
She is very wise and smart I think.
A baby is not a fashion statement but a life.
She is quite right to wait until she is ready.
