Tina Fey has love-hate relationship with "mom jeans"
At the Council of Fashion Designer (CFDA) Fashion Awards on June 2nd, Tina Fey, mom to Alice Zenobia, 2 ½, admitted that prior to donning Ralph Lauren for the awards, she was in a full-on "mom jeans" outfit. She was "walking around the Upper East Side in, like, the worst outfit ever: mom sneakers, Capri-length jeans, and a t-shirt that was clinging to my muffin top."
She’s not proud of it though, saying, "I was like, ‘I have turned into such a hideous, unkempt mother, I am going to kill myself.’" She rationalizes her fashion choice to needing a kid-appropriate outfit because "when you’re at home with your kid, you have to wear stuff that can just get ruined."
The actress/writer, who presented the award for accessory designer of the year to Tory Burch, draws the line at shorts, though. She said, that according the British What Not To Wear, "the official cutoff for shorts is 7."
