Update: David Spade's ex-girlfriend pregnant, expecting a daughter

Update:  In Touch Weekly is reporting that baby-on-the-way is a girl.  Though David has not yet admitted publicly to being the father, the tabloid cites sources who indicated that the former couple are working on a child support agreement.  The baby is due to arrive in late summer.

Originally posted Jan. 16: Jillian Grace, a 22-year-old former Playboy Playmate, is expecting a baby — and she’s identified David Spade as the father, TMZ reports.  No word on how far along in the pregnancy she is, but in a statement to TMZ David acknowledged that he had a "brief relationship" with Jillian.  Added David,

If it is true that I am the father of her child, then I will accept responsibility.

The baby would be the first for David, 43.

uh oh that’s not good if he’s questioning the paternity. i guess this means she’s been with other men?
whether he is or isn’t the father, i hope everything works out for them…….

Wow – you guys are going to need more staff!! hiring? :)

Here’s another one. Marriage among the stars, seems to be a low priority, before baby’s.

- anonymous on

Natasha -I think the question of paternity is because they had a short fling (not a relationship of any meaning or lenght).

I just don’t get these 40 something men having casual sex with 22 year old girls without bothering to use protection. And then they are shocked when she’s pregnant. At their age they should know better.

- Sanja on

Wow. Guess all the sleeping around was bound to catch up with him one day. The really scary thing is wondering if he used protection with any of the various women he’s been with. I can only imagine the things he could have picked up/passed off along the way. Pregnancy is the least of his worries if he’s this careless with random women at his age.

Do these rich guys just have sex without protection, with anybody lol. Good lord what about stds, and I hate to be a prude but a lot of them don’t even date that long before getting pregnant.

- adriana on

He maybe questioning paternity because they did use a condom and now she is saying she is pregnant with his baby.It wouldn’t shock me if that happened since it was a short fling

Hey guys, at least it’s better than Eddie Murphy’s reaction.

lol margot! very true =)

Let me just clarify this: a 40-something year-old having sex with a 22 year-old without protection is as bad as having sex with another 40-something year-old without protection, or a 30-something year-old…and the main risk isn’t pregnancy as we know (I’m alomst 20, so…I have something to say LOL). Plus, we don’t have anything to do with their sex lives! It’s theirs. Who are us to judge. Are we examples? We’re not. We don’t discuss our own sex lives on the internet, and most of us wouldn’t like other people to discuss about ours, either.
And although in their case it was a flirt, I know 40 year-old people who are in love with 20 year-olds and they surely have sex.
So calm down.
As long as the kid is love, who cares about the rest…one thing is certain, it’s no our business.

And besides, let’s be true: a 22 year-old is a woman and knows what she does!

- Ana on

LOL this is the story of my life. I just gave birth to a wonderful little boy. I also turned 22 recently. His father will be 40 in a few days. I knew what I was doing and took immediate responsibility. It was HIM who acted like he didn’t know where babies come from! Luckily he dotes on our boy…now. Things happen, regardless of age, but parents should take responsibility, no ifs, ands, or buts.

It’s always interesting though, when pregnancies are revealed after the breakup.

- Ivonne on

Wow, good thing this is all just a rumor…

Well said Ana. People are already flipping out and so far we don’t know exact details.

- J on

None of this would happen if people waited for marriage to have sex and produce children. Then there would be no surprises and no questioning of paternity! It is truly sick to see how society has turned the beautiful act of love into a lustful act of sin.

Why are we blaming David on not using protection? Remember the say, “It takes two to tango?” It’s equally Jillian’s fault for not insisting having protection or not even having sex with him. I don’t like it when people just blame the guy for getting a woman pregnant, when the woman is as guilty for not saying no.

- Molly on

I agree with Molly. It does take two to tango and they both are responsible.

To: J,

It’s true. It does take “two to tango,” but from my experience… people (both men and women) are more quick to judge females about this kind of thing than their male counterparts. They’ll say things like “She’s a s!ut.” or “She’s a w#ore.” or “(She) should have known better and shouldn’t have sex.” Men can get away with screwing 1/3 of the country and then patted on the back for it (i.e. Gene Simmons) By the way, yes.. men are called “dogs” when they sleep around but that doesn’t have the same hateful sting of being called a “s!ut.” It’s like calling a white person a “cracker” and then calling a black person the “N” word. Obviously “cracker” doesn’t sting people as much as the “N” word. It’s the same with men being called names like “dog” while women are called wh0res. Men aren’t hurt by the term “dog” or atleast not any of the ones I’ve met. Women are usually hurt by the term “wh0re” or “s!ut” and if they aren’t… some of them are probably hiding their real feelings. I don’t expect anyone to agree with me, I just wanted to share my thoughts like the rest. :)
