Update: NASCAR driver Casey Mears, girlfriend expecting a baby girl

Update: Casey’s mom has confirmed that the baby the couple is expecting is a little girl. Trish is due in October.

Originally posted June 4th: Casey Mears, a 30-year-old driver in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, is poised to become a first-time father.  In a new interview with the Associated Press Casey confirmed that girlfriend Trish Grablander is expecting a baby; While Casey declined to give a due date, this photo of the couple from last weekend reveals a visible bump.

The news shocked me as well. Someone told me “hey, Casey’s going to be a daddy!” and I’m like “WHAT?!” Then I read the article and it was true. Congrats to him & Trisha. They both seem really happy.
