Ryder Russell Robinson, 4, got a lift from the assistant of his mom Kate Hudson, 29, on the set of Bride Wars in NYC on Thursday, May 29th. Dad is Chris Robinson.

I’m confused is Ryder a boy or a girl? Sounds like an androgeneous name could be either. In fact I kind of like it for a girl.

Whoa, look at Kate with dark short hair! I’ve never seen her look like this, even if it is just for a character. It’s kind of a nice look. Levi, Ryder is a boy. I never thought about Ryder being gender-specific. I guess Ryder would suit either a boy or a girl. It just sounds really nice, Ryder Robinson.

Ummm DLR, that is her assistant…NOT Kate…Ryder is a wonderful mix of both his parents!…I’ve seen them both in Central Park with Ryder and they are very HANDS ON parents…Kudos to them!

Tamara, hello. That is why I inquired if it was a guy or girl. . . because it said “his” (not he BTW). Thought it might be a typo.And, it may be clear to you that it is a boy, but with the long hair and androgenous name I am sure many others have had the same question!

Are you people not reading at all? Levi – it clearly says “his mom”. You are probably just being annoying though because of his long hair. DLR – it clearly says that it’s his mother’s assistant carrying him.
