Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos 'never say never' to having a fourth child

Live with Regis and Kelly’ talk show host Kelly Ripa, 37, and actor husband Mark Consuelos, 37, are kicking around the idea of adding a fourth baby to their current family of five. Kelly told US Weekly,

We talk about it all the time. It’s a huge discussion in our house. At this point, we feel like we have three healthy, beautiful, sweet kids. I’m afraid I’m going to be gilding the lily, asking for too much…But never say never!

Mark and Kelly are parents to Michael, turning 11 on June 2nd, Lola, 6 ½, and Joaquin, 5.

I used to always think they would have a 4th, but than about a year ago I thought they will stay with 3.

Oh, I hope so! I remember when I started watching Live, she announced her pregnancy with Lola and then shortly after having Lola, she announced her pregnancy with Joaquin! Haha. But I would love for her to have a fourth child – although 3 is enough hard work! They make beautiful children, though.

I always found it weird when people said I dont want to almost jinx themselves because they have however many healthy kids and then what get pregnant with a dud? In no way is this an insult to them because I can understand they have 3 kids and thats hard work but I never understood the saying because I have heard it before. Does it mean they are afraid they will have an unhealthy child or afraid something will happen to one of their kids? I think they are great parents and have such gorgeous children! I loved her when she was pregnant on the show too but again I dont understand the saying. And again no insult just wanted to know exactly what people mean by it.

Bren I think what she means is she has been lucky to have 3 healthy children and pregnancies,and sometimes people have have a great home, great husband, children, good career, you feel like I already have a great life, should I push it and always want or look for more or like kelly said asking for too much. I have heard a lot of people with a certain amount of number of kids say the same thing kelly has though, and most of the time they say I have been blessed with healthy children already, what more am I looking for. A lot of them are also like kelly I noticed, where they have at least one son and one daughter in the mix, and I have heard some of them say I have experienced having a son and daughter already and their healthy, so what more do I want. I think for every person though, everyone has their limit of kids they plan on having, most of us don’t have a baby every year like the druggers lol, so at one point or another we all say ok as much as I love being a mom and having kids, I’m done at this point.

Oh how cool would that be. We recently went from 3 to 4 and I know where she is coming from.

I found myself thinking that I had 3 great kids and a great life and that wanting another one was, well, sort of unfair to the people who dont have any. ANd I know its irrational. But I felt like I was asking for so much mroe than I deserve.

I agree Bren. I have heard that a lot and never have really liked that excuse. I figure if you want one have one and you should never feel guilty for anything you have. Yes there are people who can’t have kids but if they really wanted kids they could adopt.

If they keep talking about it all the time in their house then they should definately go for number 4 i say. Kelly is a great mum and you can really tell she just loves having babies.

they obviously make some great kids. i think they should totally go for a 4th one. im sure lola would love a little sis lol!
