Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita of Orange-Nassau expecting second child

Prince Pieter-Christiaan of Orange Nassau, 36, and his wife, Princess Anita, 38, are expecting their second child together. The baby is due in October and will be welcomed by older sister Emma Francisca Catharina, 17 months. This will be the ninth grandchild of Princess Margriet, 65, and the eleventh grandnephew or niece for Queen Beatrix, 70.

I don’t see how the future baby is a niece/nephew of the Queen? perhaps a grand-nephew/niece? Also this will be the eleventh for the queen, since her sister Irene has one grandson and will have one (grandson/granddaughter) more this august.

Wont’ this be a grand-nephew/niece to the queen? Not a newphew/niece? Also, this will be her 11th since her sister Irene allready has a grandson and is set to become a grandmother in August again.

That’s right, it’s a ninth for Margriet, but an eleventh for Beatrix. Princess Margriet’s two eldest sons have three kids each, so that’s six, and her younger sons have one each now, so the new baby will be ninth for the van Vollenhoven’s. But Princess Irene’s eldest son has an out of wedlock child, Carlos, and her eldest daughter is due in August, so it will be the eleventh.
