Musician Keith Urban and actress Nicole Kidman, both 40, shopped for books on Monday, May 12th, in Nashville, TN. The couple picked up Your Pregnancy Week-by-Week and Pocket Dad: Everyday Wisdom, Practical Tips, and Fatherly Advice. They expect their baby in late July; they know the sex but are keeping it private.

Nicole looks good. Her bump isn’t much bigger then mine, and I am not even 5 months. Lucky girl. I’ll be all fat and swollen by 6 months, I am sure.

I’ve noticed that any time celebs say that they “know the sex but aren’t sharing” eight times out of 10, it’s a girl! I hope so – I think this one’ll be giving Suri a run for her money in the looks department!

From what I remember, the baby bump grows by moving up your body until it runs out of space, and then grows out. Nicole is tall so I think she seems to have a small bump because of that.You never know, she might still pop out and have a huge bump.

It’s a boy! At the Oscar’s she was over heard saying several times – “He’s a really active baby!” And “He’s kicking up a storm tonight.” It would’ve been right around the time she found out the gender.

I thought that it was a boy just from the way she was carrying it but i know that alot of people have quessed girl. I think that she looks adorable. Alot of people have said that she is not showing much because she is tall. My niece is built just like NK with a long torso and her tummy was size of a grapefruit at 5 month and looked like she had a cantaloupe under her shirt at 8 months and she had a 7 lb 12 oz baby at 8 1/2 months. Most people thought that she was only about 6 months along at the time of her delivery. She was back in her size 2 jeans with 2 or 3 weeks and complete flat stomach by a month or so and no stretch marks! I hate people like that, LOL, just kidding. I am envious of them. She did not inherite those genes from our side!

Peelbugh- That was just a tabloid rumor. I belive it was In Touch that reported it, and they claimed that she said those things to a “pal” backstage (unlike Kate Blanchett, who actually referred to the baby as “he” on the red carpet).
Also, some people refer to the baby as “he” if they don’t know the gender, or, like Nicole and Keith, don’t want to share the gender publically, even if the baby is a girl. That way, they don’t have to refer to the baby as “it”, which some people don’t like to do (yes, they could say “he or she”, but that gets to be kind of a mouthful after awhile!). I must ask, why do people always assume it’s a boy when a celeb refers to their unborn baby as “he”?
