British rocker Royston Langdon, 36, sat on his front stoop while son Milo William, 3, enjoyed a popsicle today in New York City. Mom is actress Liv Tyler. It was announced this afternoon that Royston and Liv are separating after five years of marriage. The pair released in a statement that "they remain good friends and devoted parents to their son."

I was so sad to hear they are separating. I am sure they will do their best to remain civil for their son though. Milo is adorable.

I was *shocked* to hear about them splitting up. I never would have thought it, actually. I didn’t hear those rumors so I wasn’t even, like, prepared for this if that makes any sense.
They just seemed so cute and loveable and oh what a beautiful boy they have.

I too was VERY surprised to hear that they were separating. I thought they were very happy, especially after they had been looking for a new home and I thought Liv was actually expecting again. Just goes to show that the little insight we get to see isn’t always what is seems. Milo has always been a favorite of mine, as well as this couple. I wish them all the best and hope they continue to be civil and keep Milo a top priority which he has always seemed to be.

I just read in US yesterday that Liv had been overheard discussing an impending split, so unfortunately I’m not surprised to read this. Very sad for her and her family, especially since she has said in the past that she didn’t believe in divorce and had found “the one” in Roy. I wish them all the best, especially gorgeous Milo.

I am not surprised when celebrities split up who are away on movie sets for months on end and never get to see each other and then go from movie set to movie set. I am surprised about Liv and Royston since it can’t be blamed on their busy schedules, since neither of them has really worked much for a long time. I guess they just don’t work as a couple, since time together wasn’t an issue.

I also was shocked … I hadn’t heard anything regarding this even though I read like 3 gossip blogs. Quite shocked to say the least but I’m glad they continue to remain friends and nice to one another for the sake of Milo.

Isnt it funny (not funny ha ha) but funny how you think the most solid couples will stay together and they end up divorcing before the couples you never thought would make it a week. Insane world we live in …you truely don’t know what goes on behind closed doors.

I wasn’t surprised for a completely superficial reason: she’s so tall and he’s, well, not. Haha.
It’s weird to think that Liv and Kate Hudson are best friends, both rock star babies, married rock stars, have one son, and now they’re both single.

Last month it was said they were both in a bar in nyc, and liv was overheard saying she is in the process of a divorce.
