I was at that inaugural parade with my mom. Chelsea’s skirt caused a 20 minute conversation about clothes. As I recall the suit was too tight in general and not really flattering as a result.

Dierna – Being that Hillary spent years in Arkansas, I doubt she’s phased by “y’all”. I’m from Durham, NC (just a few miles from Cary) and that’s pretty standard speech here. She’d deal with that no matter who the interviewer was, haha.

It occurs to me as I read this that I barely ever hear the Clintons talk about Chelsea, and I have enormous respect for them for that. By all accounts she’s a great kid (well, woman now!), and they could very easily trot her out as a testament to their values and blah blah blah, and they don’t.

Regardless of how anyone feels about the Clintons politically, they have done a fantastic job raising their daughter through some very tough circumstances.

I may watch this interview. It will be interesting to know what questions the Mothers
