Even though I never thought it could be possible, my favorite nursing tops in the world just got even better.
The Boob Nursing line has been my breastfeeding uniform since I discovered it three years ago after the birth of my son. With the recent birth of my daughter, I get to wear their beautiful shirts all over again and I couldn’t be more excited. The fact that there are organic options in their Spring line (only three items now, but Boob plans to have 25% of the line organic by the Fall season) and that the rest of the jersey used is now certified OEKO-Tex Standard 100 (a guarantee that the clothes are completely free from toxins) just makes me even more giddy.

I know, I know, you probably think I’m crazy to be this excited to wear nursing tops again. But that could only mean that you’ve never worn anything by Boob yourself. Designed in Sweden – with a patented nursing opening that’s a breeze to maneuver, even with a fussy baby in your arms – these tops are stylish, convenient, and comfortable. Baby gets to eat the best food in the world and mom gets to look great (without baring any belly in the process). They’re perfect for babywearing, too, since there’s no bulky shirt to lift and baby can stay right in the carrier to nurse.
I had the chance to try the new Boob Organic Camisole in Black and I just love it. Boob organic cotton is grown without using any pesticides or fertilizers. It is then dyed and prepared in a way that is as environmentally friendly as possible. It certainly feels good to cuddle a wee baby against this fabric.
And then there’s the shirt itself! It’s divine. Soft cotton and impeccable detailing – like ruching at the bust – make it quite striking. And the looser fit around the tummy means it’s ideal for covering up any extra postpartum weight (yes, 3 months later I still have it… I swear it went away much faster the first time!). The straps are thick enough to accommodate a nursing bra, too. Boob really does think of everything.
There are so many gorgeous styles in Boob’s Spring line – from ¾ sleeved tunics to simple tanks and tees – that there’s really something for everyone. With the new organic options and an impressive Corporate Social Responsibility policy, Boob is making it even harder to resist owning one of each style! They aren’t the cheapest nursing tops in the world, I know, but when you’re reaching past the other shirts in your closet – for the hundredth time, I’ll bet – just to get your Boob top again, you’ll be so glad you made the investment.
