Princess Isabella of Denmark celebrates her first birthday

Princess Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe of Denmark celebrated her first birthday on Monday, April 21st, and the royal family has released one-year portraits for the public to enjoy. Isabella posed with her big brother Prince Christian Valdemar Henri John, 2 ½, father Prince Frederik,39, and mother Crown Princess Mary, 36.

I really like the Danish royal family (esp. Queen Margarethe); they are “everyday”, humble and caring. I was very impressed with Denmark when I visited in July of 2002. It’s a very kid-friendly country. Christian and Isabella will no doubt be happy kids growing up because Denmark has been chosen as the happiest place on Earth–and I believe it!!
