Sophie and Edward's son James is baptized

Wessex_jamesSophie, Countess of Wessex, 43, and her husband Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, 44, beamed with pride after their youngest child, James Alexander Philip Theo Mountbatten-Windsor, 4 months, was baptized on Sunday, April 20th.

The gown he was wearing for the ceremony was made by the Queen’s dresser Angela Kelly and Buckingham Palace’s team of dressmakers. It is also a replica of the one Queen Victoria had made for her eldest daughter Princess Victoria’s christening which was worn at previous Royal christenings, including that of James’ four-year-old sister Lady Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary, but has now been preserved.

Being Edward’s eldest son means he now takes the title of Viscount Severn. He is also the first male grandchild for Queen Elizabeth II, 82, and her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, 86, since Prince Harry was born 23 years ago.
