Actor Christian Bale, 34, and his wife Sandra "Sibi" Blazic took their daughter, believed to be named Emmaline, to a local Farmer’s Market on Sunday, April 20th. The three-year-old little girl even took her turn at riding the horses.

What an adorable little girl! I am wondering how Christian and Sibi have managed to keep their daughter’s name a secret for three years. I mean, for example, the names of J-Lo’s twins were leaked before they were even born (not to mention their genders, the fact that they’re twins, etc.!). Jessica Alba’s baby’s name may also have been leaked before her/his birth (obviously, we won’t actually know for certain if the baby is a girl named Honor until s/he is born).
Naturally a lot of celebrities have had their pregnancies outed as well, but I don’t count those since, unlike names and such, they soon become obvious (i.e., even if a celeb chooses not to say anything about their pregnancy, we’re eventually going to know anyway).
Anyway, anyone have any idea how Christian and Sibi have managed to not only keep their daughter’s name secret, but to keep the media from leaking it as well?

i think they managed to keep her name secret within the media and general public because Christian and Sibi are really really private and very very low profile compared to other stars who have a lot of media interest, plus his other half isnt famous which works in his favour also. did they announce when she was born? i forget.
you dont hear much about them, yet he keeps his career going well-so he manages to seperate the two. much like someone like jodi foster i suppose, who keeps her kids out of the limelight, didnt even dicuss the father (did she?) and is very private about her life away from movies also.

Great pics.I can’t wait until he comes back to Wisconin to film his scenes. Since it’s not until May! I wonder if he calls her EMMA. Anyway they look like they are a very happy family. I bet she missed Daddy when he was away filming PUBLIC ENEMIES. He’ll be back in Wisconsin in may and june I guess.

I think it’s great how we still don’t know her name. It shows how hard Christian has worked at keeping his life private. Just because he’s famous doesn’t mean his daughter has to be. He can leave that up to her when she gets older.

Such a cute little girl. I think thats fantastic that they have kept their private life private despite Christian being a top actor. Just a funny observation…anyone notice Christian’s name is on his Starbucks cup? You wouldn’t think the barrista would have to ask, but again shows that they are pretty low profile family.

Emilia, no, they didn’t do a traditional birth announcement. There was a short press release confirming her birth – because there were conflicting reports at the time – but no details (name/date of birth) were included or, afaik, have ever been released by the family.

gapeach -No it’s in L.A. Christian will be back in Wisconsin in May and possibly June. He has to film his scenes in Wiscosin yet, since his characters is an FBI agent. He doesn’t have to come back yet, so I’m happy to see him spending time with his family.

You gotta love Christian Bale. He is totally awesome. His Family is really cute. I think it’s cool that he keeps his family life under wraps. It’s just different. I mean you don’t really hear about that many other celebirities that do that so it’s cool. Keep up the good work Christian!!
