If there is one thing I could do all over from my pregnancy/1st child, it would have been NOT to buy a highchair. Like most first time parents, we assumed that we "needed" one, so we got one and immediately lost a chunk of space in our kitchen. After a few months of attempting to clean all of the cracks and crevices, and trying to find a decent spot for it where we could still walk around in the kitchen, we decided to sell it and get something that was more space saving.
We opted for the Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat and it EXCEEDED our expectations. It strapped on perfectly (and safely!) to our kitchen chairs, it had a seat belt, height adjustment,and best of all,it was SO easy to clean! There were no vinyl seat pads to scrub or try and lift up to clean under, it was literally just wipe down and go (and the trays can be popped in the dishwasher as well). Another fabulous thing about the Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat is that it’s small enough to take with you (the seat back folds down as well), so if you’re going to grandmas, out to a restaurant or even to the movies … you can just take it with you! The icing on the cake is that it’s only $24.99. My only regret was not finding out about it sooner.
