Hugh Jackman drops Oscar off at school

Actor Hugh Jackman, 39, was seen dropping son Oscar Maximillian, 7 ½, off at school in Sydney, Australia today.  Mom is actress Deborra-Lee Furness.

Is this his biological child? Don’t know too much about this faily but after I googled his wife and see that she is fair skinned with blond hair, I am wondering where his son gets his exotic look from. Just wondering.

Yes, Hugh and his wife have two adopted kids, Oscar and his little sister Ava (2-1/2). Hugh has been very open in interviews about the heartbreak of Deb suffering two miscarriages. Hugh was just wrapping up the first X-Men movie when Oscar was born. Both kids were adopted in the US and Deborra-lee has in recent months been crusading in their native Australia for less stringent adoption laws there. From photos and interviews, it’s quite obvious that the kids are much-loved and the feeling is mutual.

To answer Brandy’s question: Both of Hugh Jackman’s kids are adopted. They are the cutest things. I agree the always seem to be smiling and laughing, and love being with eachother.

These pictures make me really happy! So cute and sweet. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen Hugh Jackman in a film, but I’m a fan of what I perceive as him as a dad! And Oscar seems to have an amazing energy within him. Besides that he’s a gorgeous kid!

I’ve noticed that too, Aidan. And it’s the same thing with Zahara Jolie-Pitt – - Have you ever seen the faces she makes? Looks EXACTLY like her mom. Adorable.

I grew up with a babysitter who’s son was adopted – -I didn’t know it until I was like, 17. He looked so much like his mom that I had no clue!

I love Hugh Jackman and his family. The Aussies and Kiwis like Russell Crowe and Keisha Castle Hughes seem to pull off the down to earth regular folks look very well. Despite being wealthy celebrities.

I assumed that Deborah, the mommy, was of african/brazilian descent as well. I said to myself, look there’s a young wolverine! They look incredibly alike.

Wish more parent/child relationships were more like this among celebs.

Oscar is so handsome. In the first photo, you can tell Hugh saw the photographer-just look at his eyes-but it didn’t stop him from expressing his affection for his son.

It’s so interesting to me how much they resemble each other. Just cover both of their eyes and see how similar the features are from the noses down. One of my friends adopted a baby who’s now 7, and the physical resemblence is mindblowing. I say it was God-match lol.

first thing i noticed was he doesn’t have a uniform on.unlike the U.S., most schools here have one(or a dress code of some sort).bit weird but oh well-maybe they had a day off? or maybe it’s just me….cute pics though.

Oscar is so handsom, he does look just like Daddy. The thing I love about Hugh and Debra Jackman is that he said in several interviews that when they learned there were difficulties in having a bio baby, he didn’t want to go through invetro, he didn’t think there was difference between a bio or ado baby. Then they got Oscar, and Hugh was beaming.

Also, he has said that the kids run around and the chaos has caused Debra normal mommy frustration. He said when the kids are happy running around and having fun, it’s like music to his ears. He talks about coming from a home with lots a noise.

After reading that, I became one Hugh and Debra’s biggest fans. I too aggree it dosn’t matter how your kids come to you; bio/ado; just that you are blessed with them.
