I absolutely love this family (all 5 of them, including Jake now lol). I just remembered when she was pregnant with Ava, she went on Letterman saying obviously she was really young and she wouldn’t have chosen to have a baby then, but she was going to take responsibility. Doing the math now, she was only 23 or 24 which doesn’t seem all that young to me.

Everytime I see Ava I get struck by how strange it is too see such a grown up looking face on a little girl. She is beautiful but I think it is just because she looks sooo much like her mummy.

Is Reese really short? Because Ava reaches to her shoulders! Love that! She is such a cutie pie, I love her outfit! I love how Ava always dresses for her age, and doesn’t try to look to flashy or “Hollywood” like a lot of young girls. Reese seems like SUCH a good mom!

Reese is 5’2.. and Ryan is 5’9-5’10.. I think Ava does seem tall for her age (I have an eight year old step daughter whose 9 in May and she’s not near my shoulders at all and I’m 5’3).. a lot of kids I know hit growth spurts early and than stopped in middle school – everyone caught up to them and kept going and they only grew a little bit more ;p Either way she’s beautiful!

What I mean is for me Ava looks so much like her mama, who is obviously an adult, and it is really stricking to see such a similarity in a child. And I’m sure looking like Reese Witherspoon is not a problem in the slightest lol

Well when I was 10, 11 years old I was taller than my mom. When I was 12 years old, I was 5’5″ but only grew 2 inches after than. So Ava is probabaly growing alot now but will stop eventually. My mom’s 5’2″ and my dad’s 5’10″

You all may gush over how cute Ava is but one thing that always bothers me is how she always looks sullen and unhappy especially when she is with Reese. She looks like that whether she knows the paps are there or not, so being photographed by paps is not the issue. I’ve only seen 1 pic of her smiling [and it was with Abbie Cornish]. Is this the facial expression most kids wear? Don’t think so.

Well I’m 5’2″ and my daughter is 7 and she’s up to my shoulders so I don’t think that Ava’s unusually tall ….. She is beautiful though …. she is definitely a mini Reese …. u would think Ryan didn’t have anything to do with it at all. I love how Reese and Ryan just dress her and Deacon how any of OUR kids would dress
