Featured Review: BOB Revolution: You say you want a revolution …

04/09/2008 at 08:40 AM ET

BobrevolutionI’m part of a mommy group and we spend a lot of time together — Mostof that time is spent chatting away. You can only assume that more thanhalf of our conversations have to do with our children. So when thetopic switched to strollers the other day I wasn’t surprised, but I WASsurprised at what stroller was the current must-have … the BOB Revolution. Yes, you heard right, not a Bugaboo, not an Orbit, but a BOB!The best point made in the conversation is that this stroller is almostmislabeled. Yes, it IS a jogging stroller, but it’s also so much more. They all agreed hands down they wished they had bought this strollerfirst and saved all their money on random other stroller purchases!

BridgetMoynahan, Kate Hudson and Sheryl Crow have all been spotted out and about with their BOB strollers!

My husband and I have been researching joggers and are leaning toward the BOB, but have a few reservations. A few people have told us that the handlebar height is an issue when running. This review mentions it’s not a problem, but I wonder. We spoke with a guy about my husband’s height (not tall–5’8″) who couldn’t run with it. It’s a shame the bar isn’t adjustable like others in the category.

Also, I still wonder how it is for serious off-road running/hiking. We are looking for something that does really well on dirt or gravel trails as well as streets. Most of the reviews I’ve read just mention walking, street jogging, or mall strolling.

It doesn’t seem they make a stroller that fits all of our needs, but the BOB looks to be the closest.

This review was great timing!

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
