DwellStudio Diaper Tote: Better than Marc Jacobs!
Three times in six months … that’s how many times I’ve carried a diaper bag since having my daughter. Reason? I despise the things. I just keep whatever bag I’m toting in the car and carry the baby stuff I need right in my purse. After all, I probably spent about a third of my salary on Marc Jacobs and Gucci when I worked as a magazine writer in New York City, and I was not ready to trade those gorgeous bags in for some giant carry-all.
But guess what? I realized the other day when passing by a mirror that when Mr. Whoozit is popping out of the top of a Marc Jacobs bag, and stretching the leather with all the diapers, wipes, snacks and other toys I’ve been keeping in there, it doesn’t look quite so cool anymore. I needed help in a hurry and DwellStudio gave me a more than swell solution.

Dwell’s new line of diaper totes and matching accessories look freshand stylish, first of all. While the bag I got (the Charlotte, $170) isbigger than what I’d normally carry, it doesn’t scream "Mom alert!"From the outside, you’d actually never realize it’s a diaper bag.
Butinside? It’s parental nirvana. With six separate compartments, there’sroom for everything I need to carry for both my baby and myself. From my first outing with it, I was thrilled. The open design scored huge points with me; I can immediately fish for whatever I need among all the baby-related items in there. On the outside ofthe bag are two zippered compartments where my phone and walletare easy to access, too. It also comes with a super-cute matching changing pad that folds up and snaps together. Yep, there’s not one bit of Velcro to be found here. So, for the next few years, I will happily hang up my pre-baby bags and still feel like a cool chick. I have a feeling this bag will stay with me forever, though. I just checked and even my laptop fits inside! Seriously … I’m singlehandedly declaring this the new "it" bag.
