Bingo Records: Music you'll recognize that you'll kids will love

04/05/2008 at 10:21 AM ET
Frontcovers_motownOften when we’re trying to find music to listen to us parents will find ourselves giving into another Raffi cd in exchange for not having to hear our toddlers saying they don’t like the music on player. At Bingo Records they’ve pretty much solved this problem by taking the classics and having them sung by kids. The effect is a compilation of popular songs that you recognize and that your child falls in love with. There is really something about the sound of a child singing that turns any song into a favorite.

Offering several titles including The BingoKids Sing Beatles Hits For Kids, The Bingo Kids Sing Motown Hits ForKids and The Bingo Kids Sing Beatles Hits For Kids Volume 2, these cdswill become quick favorites. In our house we are huge fans of the Motown Hits cd and my two-year-old requests the song "Do you love me" every night before her bath.

These are great gifts for the kid who has it all — they even sell a box set which is a great idea.

Also available from the same company are two kid-friendly productions: Smart Beats (fun songs about recycling, dinosaurs, coloring, geography, play time with a hip-hop vibe) and Yoga Child, A Peaceful Place Inside(designed by renowned Yoga Instructor Gail Silver, features voice andmusic presented in a way that will calm and center children whilegetting them to use their bodies constructively).

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
