Lindsay Davenport shares her secrets for being a successful working mom

Lindsayandjagger Her return to the tennis court so soon after giving birth to son Jagger Jonathan, 9 ½-months, was impressive, and the 18-1 match record that ensued even more so.  Through it all, Lindsay Davenport made it look easy; But it wasn’t, and still isn’t, the 31-year-old former Olympic singles champion tells ModernMom

You obviously have to bring someone to watch the baby at times, and there’s all the stuff that goes along with traveling all over the world. Going through an airport, trying to get water to make his formula. One time I was in the middle of a match in Bali and I looked over and saw my son with his nanny. He had sun on his forehead. I was like freaking out on the court. But then I was like, Lindsay, you have to let it go.

She and husband Jonathan Leach, an investment banker, take Jagger "everywhere…to parties, to dinners, overseas" in order to "spend every minute" with their son, Lindsay says.  Making it work requires cooperation from all involved.

My secret is to be VERY organized and have great people around helping you. I could never have gotten back into my career without the undying support of my husband, who works full time at a stressful job! We decided that we were going to do this as total partners and it is a 50/50 deal with us.

i love these Jagger J names. If there were ever a name that goes well with double-letter initials, it’s Jagger. :)
i generally don’t care for these newer names, but Jagger has a ring to it, I can’t get enough of it. :)
