Keanu Reeves says fatherhood looks good to him

Most people count sleep as among the most valued assets of pre-baby life, but actor Keanu Reeves says the sleep deprivation which often accompanies parenthood doesn’t intimidate him in the least.  In fact, Keanu makes it sound downright fun.  In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 43-year-old actor says,

I wouldn’t mind getting up at two in the morning. That doesn’t sound so bad; pick up a little one: ‘How’s it goin’ man? Good luck! I’ll help you as much as I can.’

Keanu’s next film, Street Kings, hits theaters April 11.

i really hope this happens for him. he has been through a lot of hardships in his personal life, already losing a baby. i dont recall hearing of a love interest but i truly hope he has found happiness again.

To lose your baby then the baby’s mother is heart wrenching. I hope happiness for him and that he finds that special someone to start a family with, soon. The babies will most likely be goregeous!

His daughter would have been about 8 years old now. I seem to remember that Jennifer Syme was due around December 1999, wasn’t she? They named her Ava, if I recall correctly.

I do hope that his dreams of fatherhood come true for him. He seems like he’d be a very caring, attentive, and wonderful father.

he lost his daughter and her mother? when did that happen? can someone fill me in?

Sarah’s note: Yes, Keanu and his girlfriend Jennifer welcomed a daughter, Ava Archer Reeves, in Dec 1999, but sadly she was stillborn. In April 2001, Jennifer was killed in a car accident. Keanu has never said anything about the tragedies except that he does not believe that “things happen for a reason.”

I think he is so handsome and has not gotten the accolades he deserves as an actor. I remember him as the goofy boyfriend way back in the “Parenthood” movie — and he was so sexy in the recent “Something’s Gotta Give” with Diane Keaton. That breaks my heart…..especially after he lost his baby and girlfriend all those years ago.
