Courtney, the same thing happened to me. I tried for 6 years to get my third and I finally got pregnant and the next day miscarried due to a blighted ovum. Hard to understand. Exactly a year to the day later I found out I was pregnant again and I now have my third and final baby. A boy named Matthew. He is precious.

Oh no!!! I was waiting to hear news since I read here of her past troubles. My 3rd miscarriage was a blighted ovum. To me it was the worst. There is a sac, and no baby, its hard to understand how you can be pregnant and yet there be no baby. A year to the day that I had my ultasound of the blighted ovum I had my second child. I hope all goes well for her.

This exact thing happened to me in 2001. It was difficult, but I now have a healthy 3 year old son. I wish her the best. I’ve been there!

I am so sorry to hear of this. Any loss of a baby is heartbreaking, I have been there too many times myself, and to have to worry about her mother too, I pray that all goes well for this family.

Fetal Poles usually develop around 5 and half weeks and the heartbeat at around 6 weeks. There is 2 different ways to measure pregnancy. Most docs use LMP(Last Mentral Period) others use the date you got pregnant. LMP is usually 2 weeks more. I understand what she has been thru because I have been thru it so much myself. The bloodwork and the ultrasounds. i would guess they are doing this because of problems in the past, usually you have to have prior issues to go thru all of that stuff. Good Luck to her !!!!

It sounds like it was mentioned on the show, but she wasn’t ready for it to be because she is so early in the pregnancy, so she just released a little statement that she wasn’t really ready to comment until after her doctor’s appt next Wednesday.

kris aquino is criticized pretty regularly in the philippines media, so it’s nice to hear something positive is going on for her. i think she’s pretty fun, and if anyone knows about her father, she’s had a hard life.

At 5 weeks preg. I was able to not only see the baby (more like a peanut!!!) but also its hearbeat…. I would be worried that at 6 wks she didn’t see any thing other than a sac. Maybe it was an external u.s.–that makes a difference too. I wish her luck and a healthy happy pregnancy and a beautiful new addition to her family!
