Kristi Yamaguchi blogs about Emma's new crush

In her latest blog for OK!, former Olympic gold medalist and current Dancing With the Stars contestant Kristi Yamaguchi says that her daughters Keara Kiyomi, 4  ½, and Emma Yoshiko, 2, handled being briefly separated from their mom well.  Now that the family (minus Kristi’s husband Bret Hedican, a professional hockey player) has been reunited in southern California where the 36-year-old shoots DWTS, the girls are fully realizing the perks of having a mom who competes on the popular reality-tv show!  Writes Kristy,

And my kids! I missed them terribly when we were apart! They’ve been so adorable about the whole thing. My older one, Keara, is 4, and was telling all her friends and teachers about me doing the show — even before she was supposed to be telling them! My younger one, Emma, is 2. They both love to dance and got a chance to dance with Mark (Ballas, Kristy’s dance partner). I think Emma has a little crush on Mark! She acts a little coy and shy around him!

Little Emma’s got good taste! LOL Mark is my favorite pro and has been since last season, and he’s only gotten cuter! I’m really pulling for Kristi and Mark this season and I think her family has been wonderful since this started. Mommy wanted to do something for her and everyone has pulled together to see it through. Can’t wait to see them Mambo tonight!
