Johnsons_baby_shampooOverheard during my toddler’s bath time: "Johnson’s doesn’t make you cry", said my husband to our son. He’s going through a shampoo-hating phase —  so we were delighted to test out Johnson’s Baby Shampoo (the "no tears" classic). This tearless formula was a staple in my house growing up in the 70’s and works! For once, my son didn’t scream during shampooing and he’s has actually stopped giving us such a hard time about washing his hair (because it doesn’t sting his eyes). Johnson’s recently sent us some of their classic and new products to test out, their timeless Baby Shampoo, the Bedtime Toddler Wash and the Baby Wash in Cucumber Melon.

The Baby Shampoo, which worked wonderfully on my toddler, issoap free, hypoallergenic, and rinses very easily. It’s described as being"gentle as water". Since Ben does not scream that it hurts his eyes, weconsider this product a total success and we’ll keep using it for along time. Since I last used this product, over 20+ something yearsago, they’ve added a version with natural lavender and one with natural chamomile.

Bedtimebodywash_2Like many other parents, we find that a nighttime bath is a good way to wind down an active toddler. Johnson’sis contributing to that with their calming bedtime line. Choose fromtheir Bedtime Toddler Wash or Bedtime Easy-grip Toddler Sudzing Bar,both with NaturalCalmessences. We tested out the Bedtime Toddler Wash and found that our sonwas really calmer after we used it. Though since he’s almost 2 and 1/2and getting more independent, we will pick up some of the Easy-gripSudzing Bars to try.

I love scent of cucumber melon, so I was excited to test outJohnson’s Baby Wash in Cucumber Melon. You only need a little bit tosoap up your kid (and it makes enough bubbles if you pour a little bitunder the faucet). I loved the Baby Wash so much that I used it too(though I didn’t need the bubbles).

Johnson’s bath and body products are widely available, online and in stores. Click here for a coupon for a $1 off any Johnson’s shampoo or their buddies line.
