The Beckham boys attend taping of American Idol

Though they’re rumored to be contemplating a return to their native England (which David has denied), Victoria Beckham, 33, and her sons Brooklyn Joseph, 9, Romeo James, 5 ½, and Cruz David, 3 were big fans of America last night.  American Idol, that is.  The family — minus Victoria’s husband David — attended the taping of the wildly popular singing competition and were said to have been enthusiastic audience members.  OK! reports that Victoria and the boys stood and danced to Amanda Overmyer’s rendition of ‘Back in the USSR’ and she hoisted up Cruz so he could have a better view of Brooke White as she performed ‘Here Comes the Sun.’ 

Speaking of the youngest Beckham, his love of Toy Story shows no signs of slowing down.  He came to the taping of American Idol dressed as the film’s main character Buzz Lightyear, and was apparently so exhausted by the experience that he needed to be carried from the studio by big brother Brooklyn.

She’s now using her own kids in a desperate attempt to get publicity! Any publicity! She didn’t bargain for a disinterested USA public and upcoming stars some half her age, Miley Cyrus just one example! Goodbye Victoria or should I say goodbye yesterday’s girl!

david completly dissmissed the rumours that they’re wanting to return home. he said: “Nothing could be further from the truth. I’ve said from the moment I’ve arrived everything’s been great and that everybody’s treated us so well. Not just on the football side of things, but the family side. The children are happy in school and Victoria is happy living in LA,”

After the judges and host made their way over to their respective spots, the audience was silenced when none other than Victoria Beckham (looking posh, of course) and her three boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz entered, flanked by two secret service-looking bodyguards. Cruz, wearing a Buzz Lightyear costume, spent most of the time on mom’s lap as he danced and clapped along and thanked his mummy for the good time with hugs and kisses during the show. Daddy David couldn’t make it, but the bodyguards seemed to do their part in taking care of the boys, holding their hands as they took them to bathroom breaks, or letting them stand on their laps so they could see over the crowd. Posh and her family stole the spotlight, as some fans spent so much time turning around to get a glimpse of the fashion icon that they forgot to watch the show.
