Life imitates art for actress Parker Posey

In The Return of Jezebel James, which premieres tonight on FOX, actress Parker Posey portrays a single, children’s book writer who starts to feel her biological clock ticking.  But does the 39-year-old feel the same way as her character?

Oh my god, yes, I have such maternal instincts. And [I'm turning] 40 — things are getting real for me. I’m like, "What kind of woman am I? What kind of partner could I have?" I want to have it all work. I don’t want to feel I have to sacrifice anything to have the experience and the enormous life change that having a child would be. I’m figuring it out.

I’m like, "Do I have a fear of family or is that a sacrifice or what? Can I have a family and a career and be as focused and as passionate? I mean, hey, I’m about to work with Demi Moore, and she’s got it all. I mean, that’s a modern woman right there. Right?!
