Have baby, will travel says Keith Urban

Keith Urban says that after wife Nicole Kidman delivers their first child together this summer, the family’s pre-baby global mindset will stay firmly in place.  The 40-year-old country singer says that the couple won’t choose between their homes in Australia and Nashville, and instead will continue to split their time evenly between both abodes.

The way the world is turning, people live in different places.  We’ve never really been the kind of people that were gonna live in one place. And we’re very, very fortunate that we have an opportunity to live in Nashville but also be able to spend some time in Australia, given that we’re from there.

Exposing their child to different people and locales can only be a good thing, Keith says.

I’m grateful that we get the chance to move around a little bit and our child will live in different places and be able to experience different things.

Nicole is due in June or early July; She already has two children — 15-year-old Isabella and 13-year-old Connor — with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Funny, how Nicole doesn’t feel that her other children would benefit from travelling with their mother.

I’m sorry, but this whole thing doesn’t sit right with me. What woman gives up physical custody of her kids without a fight and doesn’t even own an apartment in the same city where they live? If those were my kids, and I had the kind of money Nicole has, I’d move to a house next door to them to be close to them when they lived with their father. I mean Nicole hasn’t been filming for a few months and she’ll be free till the baby comes, but she still spent months in Australia and not with her children.

She and hubby must be so excited! I’m sure her kids are equally excited too and that she has an attentive and loving relationship with them despite any speculation to the contrary.

I am a HUGE Keith Urban fan and I am very happy for them. I have wondered, however, if Isabella and Connor are feeling a bit left out ~ what with Suri’s birth and now this new baby. I know they live full-time with Tom and I do hope they get the attention and love they need from Nicole … especially after the baby is born. I’m sure she’s a wonderful mother – but we so rarely see her with her children. I think it’s odd.
