Unless you were forced to dress alike as a child, no one knows how humiliating this can be — my mother forced my twin sister and I to dress alike until we were 14 years old!! It was mortifying and we finally revolted after fighting her on it for many years. If it is the girls’ choice – then that is fine – but I find it hard to believe that an 8-year-old would want to dress like her little 5-year-old sister. I’m sure it was Julie’s idea. Anyway, I just hope she keeps in mind their own personalities and identities when dressing them so they won’t get teased growing up. That is all I meant to convey … you don’t know what that’s like unless you have walked in my shoes.

My sister and I, who are three years apart, were often dressed alike when we were younger and didn’t often mind. I know there were a number of times that we wanted to dress alike, so I don’t mind seeing Julie’s girls in the same outfits. And they’re cute outfits, too!

Cute children. My sister and I were also dressed the same when we were younger. We didn’t ask for it but it didn’t harm us either. It’s just clothes and it looks cute!

Well it may have been the children’s idea, but it’s probably more likely that their Mum, or another adult, that dressed them alike. Especially cause they’re going to such a public event.

I agree with Sheri, my sister and I are two years apart and our mother always dressed us alike and we hated it! People would ask if we were twins when I was brunette and her blonde and I was taller, it was crazy!
