David and Marquez Caruso play at the park

CSI: Miami’s David Caruso, 52, and his son Marquez Anthony, 2, play at the park over the weekend. David lifted Marquez up so that he could drop his basketball into the net, much to his delight. Mom is Liza Marquez.

Isn’t he gorgeous? Okay, both are. Marquez looks just like Mama; so does baby sister, Paloma. Yep, I believe he does have Daddy’s nose and, I understand, some of Daddy’s mannerisms (or maybe Horatio’s mannerisms).

He is absolutely adorable! I *love* the second picture. He just looks so cute standing there. I like his outfit!

David has a 23-year old daughter from a previous relationship, and also a daughter with Lisa Marquez named Paloma Raquel, born in October 2007. Is it just me, or wouldn’t it be weird to give your child your surname as their given name?

I personally do not think it is weird at all to name a child after a family surname. I find it rather sweet actually. It is a great way to honor the maternal family without hyphenating the last name. Like Marquez, Beyonce (Knowles) was given her mother’s maiden name.

His son is adorable. I want to see the baby girl, I think she’s 5 or 6 months now. But then again it was a while before we saw Marquez too.
