Kim Clijsters welcomes daughter Jada Ellie

Tennis star Kim Clijsters, 24, and her husband Brian Lynch are first time parents after welcoming a daughter. Jada Ellie Lynch was born in Tongeren, Belgium at 1:35 pm on Wednesday, February 27th. She weighed in at 6 lbs, 10 oz and is about 20 inches long.

The pregnancy was announced in July. Kim and Brian shared in September that they were expecting a daughter. Kim’s due date had been February 25th.

I wish Kim and Brian and Jada lots of happiness.
It has to be difficult for her though, her father is so ill and very unlikely to recover. He probably won’t be around to enjoy Jada for long, and he’s only 60.
The Clijsters family certaily don’t deserve that.

That’s a cute name, I like Elly spelled as Ellie though.

Kim’s mother, Els Vandecaetsbeek (43), is due in May 2008 with her third child. It will be the first child for her partner Jan Goossens, a golf teacher. Els already has two grown-up daughters, Kim (24) and Elke (23) from het marriage to Lei Clijsters.

It has also been reported in Belgian media that Kim’s father Lei is terminally ill (lung cancer) and probably won’t see his first granddaughter turn 1 year old.

Hallo mijn achternichtje , sorry het is wat laat voor nog de gelukwensen met je lieve dochter maar toch wil ik ze nog wensen want ik weet hoe leuk het toch kan zijn om nog mama te worden . Ik ben zelf ook mama geworden op 16 juli 2007 ook van een flinke dochter Angie , Mandy-Jayne.En ben nog net geen 40 , maar ik geniet er met volle teugen ervan ook haar papa die van Wales afkomstig is geniet er enorm van .Zo zie je maar hoe onze stamboom groeit.
