Well I’m getting tired of posters here judging each other too.

Lauren never attacked you, Renee. I swear some people here like to stand on a soapbox and then complain if someone disagrees with them. You claim to want a healthy debate yet you can’t take it when someone does that. Did she curse at you? Insult you? Well then what more do you want? And no, that was not an attack either.

I swear there are people here who claim they like this place because it’s less hostile than TMZ and a few other gossip/tabloid sights yet there is a hint of that high school “mean girl” or whiner attitude that lingers on some boards and thats just as bad. Stop nitpicking each and every word you read and move on! I wanna talk babies, not listen to petty arguments.

All this heated discussion when the people in question themselves aren’t even going to know or care?! it’s a little silly don’t ya think?? wouldn’t it be better to invest that energy into more important issues or worrying about our own lives than caring so much about people who have clearly put a lot of thought into their own families and how they want to live?…

Where Brad and Angie go, for work mind you, their kids go and they get crucified for it. Will and Jada Smith take their kids everywhere too (just go back in the archives to read Will talk about how his kids grew up on tour buses and are now growing up on movie sets) but nary a criticism is thrown at them. Matt Damon takes his two daughters, the oldest is 8 everywhere he goes, on every movie set around the world (go check the archives to read his interviews) and I don’t hear anyone complaining. Johnny Depp takes his kids everywhere too but no one is complaining there either. Kate Hudson says Ryder will be travelling with her until at least 9th grade and she isn’t being called with being a bad mother. Someone above even uses the argument to say it’s ok for Kate because she’s providing Ryder will more stability. How exactly? I could argue the Jolie-Pitt kids have more stability because they have two parents living in the same household while Ryder does not. No matter how you slice and dice it this is a huge double standard no matter how some of you try and fail to say it’s not. That being said, Kate has every right to raise her child how she sees fit as do all the parents I have listed above.

Lauren- Actually, I have to agree with Renee. While Di personally may not have criticized Kate if she choose to leave Ryder at home, plenty of other people probably would have.

For example, Tom and Katie are constantly criticized for not having Connor and Bella with them when they travel. Personally, I don’t understand that. I mean, people complain when celebs drag their kids with them everywhere….and then when we see celebs choosing NOT to do so, such as Tom and Katie, they get criticized for that! Honestly, some of these celebs just can’t win no matter what they do or don’t do!

Actually Lauren I don’t understand why you feel the need to attack me whenever I disagree with someone. If you have an issue with my comments, next time just email me. I like the friendly environment around here. Healthy debate is good. I wasn’t judging Di’s character, how can I…I don’t know her personally and I’m sorry if it came out that way. Anyhow, I agree Rebecca. In reality, Kate only does a few movies a year since Ryder was born.

Well, I think it’s pretty great she’s bringing him around the world. My parents did that when I was a child and I absolutely loved it. I think each child’s different, and I don’t think Kate would force Ryder to travel around with her when he’s older, if he didn’t want to.

Stability can mean so many different things anyway; when you grow up in that environment it’s normal, you’re used to it and it’s stable to you. And it isn’t just actors; if we’re to say they’re being selfish, then what about military families, and other jobs that require frequent moves? If it works for them, who are we to cry complaints about it?

I hope I will be able to afford to give my children the chance to see the world, and to instill in their minds the curiosity about other cultures and places that my parents infused in me.

I would think it was selfish if Ryder was responding badly to this arrangement and they continued on with it anyway. But if he’s happy this way then I see nothing wrong with them doing this. There are many different ways to raise a child well.

Riiight…Di would be calling them bad parents for doing what she already said she believes is healthy for children in that situation. Makes perfect sense.

We know. You make that perfectly clear countless times over when, instead of discussing the topic at hand the way everyone else does, you complain about how mean and nasty everyone is and act like they’re bullies for politely stating opposing opinions. Di even acknowledged that she knows others have opposing opinions and only discussed how she would parent her child if she were in Kate’s situation, yet you act like she slapped Kate across the face. What I’d like to know is why you take the comments of people you don’t even know whose opinions don’t relate to you in any way whatsoever so personally. I suspect that if you truly thought the comments and people posting them were bogus, you’d dismiss them outright and move on. The fact that you get so worked up by them says more about you than it does them.

but thats just it gabriella name one time when the jolie pitts moved that it wasn’t for them doing work. And for that matter they do have two stable homes both in la and New orleans were they spend time when not working. theyve been in la a for a while now. I just find the double standard amusing because kate isn’t followed like they are so how do we know she doesn’t travel as much im not even a jolie pitt fan i just think its sad how people whole them to a diff standard then other celebs was my pt. I for one beleive that every parent has the right to raise their children how they see fit. who are we to judge and alot of that happens on this site. those kids seem happy and healthy to me so who are we to say that the constant travel is unstabling to them.

Why does someone always have to mentioned Brad and Angelina? Their kids seem happy and they have stayed in LA a good portion of the time. If they left their kids while working, people such as Di would call them bad parents. I’m just getting tired of people judging celebs so harshly. In reality, they have to work just like the rest of us. You have to have money going in to have some of it going out. It’s the same thing with Kate. What’s the difference between Kate, Brad and Angelina and military kids? Also, how does them raising their own kids affect any of us? It doesn’t.
