British journalist Kate Garraway shares daughter's zoo experience

British journalist and TV presenter Kate Garraway, 39, and her husband Derek Draper, 40, took their daughter Darcey, 23 months, to the zoo for the first time and Kate shared Darcey’s response in her column in New Magazine,

Darcey absolutely adores animals, so when Derek and I took her to the zoo for the first time recently, she could barely contain her excitement!

London Zoo’s lions, tigers and giraffes got a big thumbs up, but the reindeer didn’t get such a positive reception. In fact, Darcey stared at them in disbelief, as if to say, "But where are their big red noses and impressive antlers?" In the flesh they just weren’t much of a match for Santa’s stereotypical red-nosed side kick, Rudolph! Luckily, I don’t think this cruel wake-up call has put her off future trips to the Zoo.
