And the baby goes to…

In a nod to the numerous pregnant actresses attending the Oscars this evening — including Jessica Alba, Cate Blanchett, and Nicole Kidman — host Jon Stewart jokingly introduced them as nominees, then ‘presented’ an award to come-from-behind winner Angelina Jolie, who just confirmed (in her own way) her pregnancy last evening.

And the babygoes to … Angelina Jolie! ObviouslyAngelina couldn’t be with us tonight. It’s tough getting 17 babysitterson Oscar night!

Jon Stewart is brilliant. The women looked absolutely glowing and he made us and them laugh with this. It doesn’t matter if it’s a first child or a fifth, motherhood is definitely a wonderful thing, and it’s great to see stars show their happiness over it for once.

My husband was upset he left Halle off. But I found it to be a great joke. They are all pregnant and all oscar winners with the exception of Alba.
