Lucy Lawless's daughter Daisy sings backup for mom

Singer and former Xena actress Lucy Lawless, 39, enlisted her daughter Daisy’s (left), 19, musical help during some of her recent concert performances. Daisy was introduced by her mother and seen by those in attendance at the Lucy, Chicago, The Blues: We’re There show held in Chicago on October 5 and 6, 2007.

Since her role as Xena, Lucy has pursued a new career in singing after being a contestant on Celebrity Duets. She made her onstage debut at the Roxy in Hollywood on January 13, 2007. Lucy was welcomed by a sold out crowd for back-to-back concerts.

Daisy’s father is Garth Lawless. Lucy is currently married to Xena executive producer, Robert Tapert, 53, and they have two sons together: Julius Robert Bay, 8, and Judah Miro, 5.

I must’ve forgotten to mention in my e-mail that Lucy never actually said Daisy’s name in the DVD (that I can remember). She was introducing her 4 backup singers, and she introduced the incredible Chuy Vasquez (Daisy). Of course, Xena fans all know who Daisy is, and it’s hard no to, because she looks so darned much like her mom in the face! They could be sisters! Even in the credits, she’s titled as Chuy Vasquez. I believe at the Xena convention, Lucy said she saw it on a poster somewhere and thought it sounded cool.

I loved the part in the DVD right after she introduced “Chuy” and the song was about to start, one of the audience members said “YEAH CHUY!!!” and Daisy looks up from her music and gives the “rock out” sign. Haha! Very fun!
