Steal That Look, Forty Weeks Style: Elisabeth Röhm is gown and out in Beverly Hills
by Julia Beck, of Forty Weeks
Actress Elisabeth Röhm, 34, was quite the expectant starlet on the red carpet at the 10th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA this week. Elisabeth was pure glam and glow, dressed in A Pea in the Pod’s Silk Jersey Bow Gown ($160). The classic cut and color of the dress were subtly enhanced by an attention-grabbing bow, adding just the right about of "pop" to Elisabeth’s ensemble. Simple, sophisticated hair and maximum personal glow (her skin is quite stunning) offered up the ideal finishing touches for this Award-winning look.
With a weekend of Red Carpet (watching, not walking for most of us) ahead, it seems an ideal time to get gown and out in Beverly Hills.
Here’s What to Keep in Mind when stealing Elisabeth Röhm’s Gown and Out Look Forty Weeks Style:
*Skin is in so make it count! Use luxurious oils and moisturizers to care for skin and highlight your sexy maternal glow. Consider a very subtle bronzer or body shimmer as well.
*Go beyond basic black. Don’t shy away from color — consider the rainbow — from daring reds to angelic whites and take chances with classic cuts in a different hue. Think Naomi Watts in canary yellow, for example.
*Shop for a gown that offers support (or room for it) and coverage. As always, you need to be more in, than out of, the dress.
*Splurge on a great bag -– this will add a little extra bit of fabulous and make you feel great now and later!
*Sweep softly! Forget severe (or stiff for that matter) hairstyles, softly sweep up some or all of your hair to frame your face and show off your shoulders and collar bones.
*Find or define one key focal point of your look and play it up.
*Spanx yourself –- enough said!
