I am 27 weeks pregnant and on day 10 of strict bed rest and was, just today, coming to really think about what I wear while on bed rest as well as how I feel. I have spent a lot of time in bare bones clothing like a shirt and panties, or a a shirt or tank (no bra) and the same pair of comfy maternity sweats. I began to realize that I was feeling frumpy. I also feel like a sick person. But, it doesn't matter who sees me, and, I'm not sick. I need to dress and view my health better than I have been. I want to enjoy what I can of this pregnancy, even if most of it is in near seclusion and on my side.

I appreciated your positive and lighthearted post. It is comforting to hear how other are, or have dealt with these issues.

Anyone who tells you to enjoy bedrest obviously has never been on bedrest!!! It's stressful and painful and downright dull. Good luck to you, you have my sympathies. I was on bedrest for 14 weeks so I feel your pain. I wish I'd had cute clothes to lay around in! Alas, I mostly wore hospital gowns!

Thanks so much for this post! Having been on bedrest for my entire pregnancy, I know first hand how tough it can be. Thankfully my mom was by my side and took really good care of me. It helps knowing that others have been in this position and that while the period during which you have to be on bedrest is sooo difficult, the end result having a healthy beautiful child is so worth it! :)
