Originally posted February 17th: Supermodel Natalia Vodianova, 26, finds it hard to leave her family behind while working so she takes them along. She and husband Justin Portman are parents to Lucas Alexander, 6, Neva, 23 months, and Viktor, 5 months, and they often travel with their famous mom.

When I just had Lucas we took him everywhere with us. Lucas is an easy-going child — he went to the shows, shoots, whatever. But when Neva was born, she liked her routine. So I had to commit to going away and leaving them behind. I’m really happy because I’ve got the most amazing work but it’s always depressing. I feel it on the inside — I tear myself apart.

It’s amazing how usually supermodels wait until later or the end of their careers to marry and start a family, and this kid is already a settled wife and a mom of 3!

WOW! When I saw the picture, I looked back at the paragraph to see where I had missed that they had a 12-year-old daughter. To echo everyone else…she looks SOOOO young!

Have I missed something- a 12 year old daughter?? (where did that info come from?!)…..that would have made her 14!!

Im obviously reading the last comment incorrectly! Her oldest is 6.

Sarah’s note: She’s saying Natalia looks so young, she thought that maybe she was a big sister to Viktor instead of his mom. She looked up in the post to see if Natalia and Justin had a 12-year-old daughter who was pictured, but in fact it’s Natalia.

Being married to a billionaire, you’d think she would be surrounded by nannies and assistants. But she seems like a very hands-on mom; I have never seen a picture of her with any “help”. I find it pretty amazing. You rarely see any kind of a celebrity without a nanny.

Natalia started a foundation called Naked Heart. Its goal is to try and better the childhoods of russian children by building playgrounds. She herself comes from a very poor background, and it’s so wonderful that she is giving back in such a way.
