I’m not sure where else to post this but Jen Johnson (who was on Big Brother 8) has posted a pictures from a photo shoot with her and Giovanna. She is Giovanna’s (and her brother’s) nanny.

Frances, I’m sure you already know this, but in addition to Vanna doing beautiful crochet work, she has her own line of yarn and pattern books. She’s very, very talented and has an eye for color and design. I crochet and knit, so I know what you mean about not putting them both in the same category…equally creative and beautiful, but very different work with different end results. I taught my granddaughter, Giovanna, to knit and she knitted her first scarf last year all by herself (with a little guidance from moi) and was SO proud of it.

The afghan that Giovanna has wrapped about her is crochet.As is the dog’s poncho. And Vanna is a crocheter. Please remember to mention crochet, as you do have readers who do crochet and knit. I love the name Giovanna. It’s an old family name passed down through many generations in my family. My granddaughter now carries on the family legacy and her name is Giovanna Eve. Her friends call her Gia sometimes. So, I’m very partial to that name! And her last name is just as Sicilian as her first name, so it fits perfectly. Vanna’s Giovanna was born just a few months before our Giovanna. So far, no one has asked if we named her after Vanna’s daughter! LOL!

I know you guys usually post middle names, and in case y’all don’t know Vanna’s kids, they are Nicholas John and Giovanna Marie =)
