Vanna White's daughter Giovanna models at CHA Convention

Television personality, Vanna White, 50, and her daughter Giovanna Marie, 10, made an appearance on Monday at the Craft and Hobby Association’s Winter Convention and Trade Show held in Anaheim, California. Vanna was on hand to help promote her brand of yarn called Vanna’s Choice which is manufactured by the Lion Brand Yarn Company. The company held a mini fashion show displaying knitted items created with Lion Brand Yarn and Giovanna modeled some of the knit fashions during the show.

Besides Giovanna, Vanna has a son Nicholas, 13, with former husband George Santo Pietro.

I love the name Giovanna. It’s an old family name passed down through many generations in my family. My granddaughter now carries on the family legacy and her name is Giovanna Eve. Her friends call her Gia sometimes. So, I’m very partial to that name! And her last name is just as Sicilian as her first name, so it fits perfectly. Vanna’s Giovanna was born just a few months before our Giovanna. So far, no one has asked if we named her after Vanna’s daughter! LOL!

Frances, I’m sure you already know this, but in addition to Vanna doing beautiful crochet work, she has her own line of yarn and pattern books. She’s very, very talented and has an eye for color and design. I crochet and knit, so I know what you mean about not putting them both in the same category…equally creative and beautiful, but very different work with different end results. I taught my granddaughter, Giovanna, to knit and she knitted her first scarf last year all by herself (with a little guidance from moi) and was SO proud of it.
