Dennis Quaid: Zoe and Boone are 'fantastic'
Finally clear of the danger of their medical mishap, Dennis Quaid was able to speak freely — and positively — about his twins, Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone, 3 months. At a press event for his new film, Vantage Point, the 53-year-old actor shared,
The kids are fantastic and really healthy and happy kids. I’ve just beensleep-deprived … Last night, was the first night they slept all the waythrough the night, from 7:00 pm– 5:30 am. [raises arm in air in celebration.]
Dennis, who became a father for the second and third time with the birth of the twins, is also dad to Jack Henry, 15, his son with ex-wife MegRyan. He shares that having basic baby know-how makes it easier, but that twins are a whole different ballgame!
Well I don’t know if it’s better but it’s a lot easier. It’s easier in the sense that … when the first one comes alongyou worry about everything. The second ones come along, ‘Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah that’s fine, seen that, done that’ … You’re a little morerelaxed about it. But with two, you need another arm.
Although apparently not yet perhaps a victim of the, ‘Are they twins? Are they identical?’ questions that tends to plague parents of multiples, Dennis laughs that people have a hard time telling who’s who, despite wife Kimberly‘s efforts to dress them in traditional pink and blue.
One’s wearing blue, the other one’s wearing pink. But you’d still be surprised [with] people, because they don’t want tomake a mistake, they go, ‘Oh, that’s the … a girl isn’t it?’
